The Meaning of Home

Did you know two percent of the world's population are homeless and twenty percent of people don’t have a good place to live? Two percent becomes 150 million and twenty percent becomes 1.6 billion. I hope this essay lets you know why everyone needs a home, what makes a home more than a house and why mine’s important to me. Everyone deserves a home because a home makes you feel safe over just some building. Homes are where you and your family like yourself. Homes give you the space you need to feel safe and secure. Homes are where you can find your happy place and your comfort place. Home is something everyone deserves but sadly not everyone has one. A home is also way way more than a house, apartment or building. A home is where you have your family, pets, books, games, personal belongings but a house is just the four walls that make a home. A home has the things you like, the things you choose whereas a house could be what you’re forced to live with. My home is important to me because it's where I live with my family. My home contains a lot of memories I would never forget. My home also has a lot of very special items to me. Some of these special belongings are my computer, my bed, books and games! Basically my home is very very important to me. In conclusion, a home is something that you shouldn't take for granted because lots of people don’t have one. I hope this essay convinced you that everyone should have a home and that homes are really different from houses and also gave you some examples on what a home is. Thank you for taking your time to read this essay.
