What Makes a House a Home

To some people a house is just a structure. A building made up of walls, windows, doors, and a roof. To make a house into a home you need so much more. First of all, when I think of a home, I think of a safe place to go at the end of the day. I feel safe in my home because my family is there and I am loved. I have all of my belongings and favourite things here. I feel protected in my home. It is a place where I can be comfortable and sleep. Secondly, when I think of a home, I think of all the memories I have made there. Every room has different memories. When I walk in my front door sometimes I think of the day I moved here. The walls are covered in photos of me and my family. I like spending time in my house because of all the fun I have here. Thirdly, Everyone deserves to have a place to call home. A place where they can be happy, safe and be with their family. If everyone had a home, the world would be a better place. In conclusion, what makes a house a home is feeling safe, loved, and happy. My home is very important to me because it’s where I live. It's not the building that makes a house a home, it's all the important things on the inside.
