What Home Means to Me

A home can be made of sticks and mud Or great big blocks of snow A home can be twenty stories tall Or deep in the ground below A home can be way up on a hill Or next to the ocean wide A home can have a mill above Or a chimney on the side A home is where you’re safe and sound With family, friends and more A home is where you have your heart And all that you adore But every home is special and unique in its own way. A place does not have to be an apartment, house, or a dorm room to be your home. It does not matter whether your home is outside in nature or in an apartment, as long as you can be yourself, feel safe and feel comfortable, that is your home. “Families are like branches on a tree, we grow in different directions yet our roots remain as one”. A home is a place that you live in, eat-in, nowadays do work in, play in, relax in, watch tv in and make memories in.
