Home

Whenever I am feeling low, there is only one place that I will go. From Tokyo to Rome, there is no place like home. A home is not a mere shelter over your head, it is so much more than a table and a bed. A home is a place that you are comfortable in your own skin. A place where you feel safe, a place where you laugh and cry, and a place where you are supported through thick and thin. For me, a home is a place where you feel cherished by your loved ones. It is a place where secrets and feelings are not kept, but laid out for all to share. It is where you could truly be yourself and take off your mask. A home has everything you could ever ask. The moment I walk through the door, all my troubles are left on the floor. It is the only place where I am always welcomed with open arms. Beaming faces make me forget about outside harms. Near or far, from a pauper to a star, a home is truly where our hearts are. My home is where I know I must be. Where all my dreams wait for me, where the laughter always flows. It is a place that will always stay within me. This is where I would not be alone, for this is where I know it is home.
