Home

Home is the cover from the wind and the storm, the shelter from the snow. Home is the place I learn, I love, I laugh for this is the place I live. Home can be anywhere, if it’s a mansion, an apartment, igloo, cabin or a teepee wherever family and love is that place is called home. Home to me is fun which means campfires, movie nights, making forts and exploring. These are just some of the things I do at home. All the love fills the house, this is where I feel appreciated. As I wake to the lovely sound of birds chirping, the cold morning breeze fills the house, when I get downstairs dad is putting wood in the fireplace and the fire shoots up and in no time the house is warm and cozy. As the night darkens, we all hop in bed, my sister and I talk and talk and talk and talk until I say it is time to go to sleep. “Good night” I say as my eyes shut closed. I am very lucky to have a warm cozy house with a loving family who takes care of me. I sometimes take it for granted, but some people don’t have a warm house.
