Home

Home is a wonderful gift from God. He created the world and all of nature’s wonders. He created our great country, Canada. God gave us a very big land to share with one another. From beautiful British Columbia to Newfoundland and Labrador, we Canadians are free to live in peace. Home is more than a place or a country. God gave me my home, a special place to live in with my family. Home isn’t just a place to eat and sleep, it is a place where I grow and learn. Home is where I am loved, and where I learn how to love. When I’m with my family I feel happy. When I’m at home, I feel safe. I feel closest to my family when we are all together in our house. Home is where I am happiest. I’m at home almost all the time now since I started homeschooling. I love being with my family all day, in the safety of my home. Since the pandemic started, many of the activities I used to enjoy have shut down. At first, I was disappointed, but now I realize that I can be creative in other ways. There are so many fun things that I can do at home, and I don’t have to wear a mask or social distance. I play games with my family, do my school work, help my mom cook and do my chores. I used to dance a lot, but now I play the piano really well. Weekends are special because I spend a lot of time with my dad. Our home is now a domestic church. We hear mass on tv and my mom teaches me about the Catholic faith. There are no limits to what I can do at home. Home is where I have the freedom to do what I love and be with the people I love. Home is where I belong, a place that God made especially for me, where I can live in His love.
