The meaning of Home

What does Home mean to me? Home is a place where you feel safe and loved. Unlike a house, a home isn’t always inside a building with lots of furniture, appliances and something built of bricks, instead it could be in the ground, in an igloo, underwater or anywhere you are loved, and feel secure! Everyone needs a home, even animals or other creatures. A home is where you laugh but sometimes cry and not all homes need a physical roof, because it’s already protected by the roof of your family. I know I'm at home when I hear my dog barking and see my lovely parents. I smell and eat the delicious food my parents make for my brother and I. My home protects me from the rain and bad weather and also dangerous things everywhere. My family and I laugh and always have a blast , but then sometimes we disagree with the tiniest things and get upset, but that’s what families do, we still love each other and we always will. I’m so grateful for my home. I can be myself and not care what people think, home doesn’t always come from bricks or insulation. I will never consider the perfect description of home from a dictionary, only how my heart would describe it! That is what Home means to me.
