Home is a Safe Place

Home is a place where I feel safe. Locks on my doors and my parents making sure I’m alright. Home is where I create memories with my family and friends Where I bond with my parents and have pleasant conversations about our days. Home is where I’m warm. A comfortable bed with warm blankets and pillows. A heater and warm clothes for the frigid winters. Home is where I’m fed. Where my family is all in the kitchen cooking a delicious meal. Where I try new foods and smell amazing scents. Like garlic or fresh baked cookies. Home is where I have clean water to drink and to clean myself. Where I have warm water to have delightful showers and cold water to drink. Home is where I’m healthy. Where I have medicines for when I’m sick and Band-Aids for when I hurt myself. Home is where my family loves me unconditionally. Where they love me no matter what. Home is where I feel accepted. Where I can just be myself. My home is like a damn keeping all the awful things out. Home is a place where I am safe, warm, comfortable, and loved. Where I can be me with zero regrets. Everyone deserves a home like mine.
