What home means to me

Home. Home could be anything, a house, an alleyway, the middle of a forest. Home is where you feel loved, and protected. Home is where you don’t need to act like someone else to be welcomed, you can be yourself. Home is where after a long day, you can lay your head down and relax, homeless or not. A place where no matter how down you’re feeling, you’ll be loved and supported. It's where you can play fun games and activities. Everyone treats Everyone with respect no matter what race, gender, or age. It’s a safe place to practice religions and beliefs without discrimination or judgment. Everyone is filled to the brim with joy and happiness. You can’t just build a home with wood and concrete, you also build a home with love and support. Once you finish, children can run around with glee and happiness with nothing to worry about. Home is where ideas become realities, and dreams grow. Adults can talk and connect, and children can do the same. A place to remember loved ones that have passed. A place to celebrate family traditions and celebrations that are special to you. There’s peace for everyone to enjoy. Excitement is everywhere and in everyone’s soul. To me, home is every single one of these.
