What is a True Home?

Have you ever wondered if your house is really your true home and not just someplace to live? Well now you don’t have to wonder, I’m here to tell you what really is a home. Some might say your home is a place with walls and a roof, but I believe a home is where people are, the people you love, a place to feel safe. To me a house is not a home, it is a place where you keep your stuff, where you sleep inside so you can stay warm. I believe a home is where your heart is. For example, Canada is part of my home. I love Canada because of the beautiful nature it has. All the trees, the water and the many people from different cultures. I feel safe in Canada. My family lives all over Canada and when I visit them I still feel like I am home because I am with people I love. Does everyone have a home you ask? Everyone does have a home but not everyone has a house. There are many people in this world who live on the streets, or out of their cars. You might ask them where do you live? Don’t be surprised if some might say, ‘I live in Canada’. Now you know why I believe a house is not your home, but your home can be anywhere you want it to be.
