Feeling of Home

Feeling of Home I walk in after a long day at school looking at the family pictures displayed on the wall smelling the fresh smell of home, a soothing kind of smell like a place where you would feel safe, for me it smells like a cross between sitting next to the fire at night and a hint of fresh mint. I race up the stairs, get a snack and plop onto the couch to watch TV. While dinner is getting prepared I go to my room to start homework or chores I think my room feels the most like home because that's where I feel the most comfortable l, have privacy and time to myself, drawing , making new creations at my desk or binge watching my favorite show on the weekends cuddled up in blankets all night ,reading books i got for Christmas on my bean bag or sleeping in wrapped in a blanket my grandma knit for me to stay warm during the winter. Most dinners having Carbonara is a special my dad makes for us sometimes. It's pasta with bacon and an egg sauce topped with cheese and pepper. When I wake up I pull over the covers because of the warm feeling of the sun's rays shining through my windows then we make pancakes drenched in syrup. It's a place to be happy with your family , sit next to the fireplace while watching a family movie on Christmas eve and gather around the tree on Christmas day morning opening presents we got from each other and my favorite eating a massive turkey on thanksgiving . Most importantly make memories like learning how to walk ,ride a bike and having family and friends over. Even if me and my family move a lot we always know how to make it feel like home and make new memories everywhere we are.
