What Home Means to Me

Home is were I spend time with family and make new memories and look back on the old memories. The memories fill my mind and are as happy as watching my dogs play. I am with people who love and care about me. When I am home, I smell lavender and sometimes fresh baked chocolate cookies I made with my mom. I always feel safe when I am home and fortunate to have a roof over my head and polite people next door. Its not just having a roof over my head that makes me secure, its being able to spend time with family and friends and playing games together. I love having family movie nights because I hear laughter and the popcorn popping and feel relaxed with my puppy Dax. Dax is always waiting for me at the door when I get home from school. When I am at school my other dog Rory is playing with Dax. I love seeing my dogs play having a blast together because that’s what family is all about. Every morning my dad puts my puppy on my bed and Dax wakes me up by jumping and licking me. Every weekend I let my mom and dad sleep in well I take care of my two dogs and sister. I hope that I can help put a roof over anther family’s head who is in need and share a bit of what I feel each day. They deserve to feel what I feel everyday and to be safe and secure.
