The true meaning of Home

When you imagine home, what do you imagine? Maybe you imagine a neat red brick house with a chimney and trimmed hedges, or maybe a little white beach hut on the edge of town, or maybe an apartment in the middle of New York. Whatever it is home is the place that you can call your own. One of the things that makes a home a home is safety. At home, there is always someone to catch you when you fall. To comfort you when you cry and to help you when you get hurt. In my home there is always a band-aid to cover the cut and a hug to help. One of the things that helps with safety is warmth. The most comforting thing there could be. Imagine you just got inside after a blizzard to find a nice warm fire and hot cocoa and cookies. What is the thing that is the most comforting in that scenario? The warmth right? Warmth is one of the most important things in a home. It makes us feel comfortable and safe. In most homes people usually have a heater or fire. But some people don't have homes and don’t have warmth. So let's help those people who don't have that comforting warmth. Two of the most important things in a home are safety and warmth. They make us feel comfortable and secure. But many people don't have homes or anything like that so it is our job to help them. Our homes mean so much to us, but what does home truly mean to you?
