What Home Means to Me

Hello my name Jack and this is what home means to me. Home is a place where I feel happy to be with my family. To me home is not just the walls, it’s not just the land where the walls stand. My home is with my family wherever that might be. We could be travelling anywhere in the world but if I am with my family, I am still at home. My home is a place of safety, a place of happiness and love. I am lucky enough to have plenty of food to eat, clean water to drink, and protection from the outside world. These days I have two homes, one for my mother and one for my father. My sisters & I travel to each home and I am lucky enough to have the same feelings of home in each place. I have different toys and games in each home, so the activities are different, but the joy is endless. I know not everyone is as lucky as I am, and not every home is the same but my wish is for everyone to feel as safe and loved as I do in their homes. Even though my feelings of home come from my family, I am grateful to have a comfortable house to hold our memories and keep us together.
