What home means to me..

What home means to me..

A home is a place where you trust.
A home is a place for patience.
A place where you should feel safe and surrounded by people you love and people who love you.
A home is where you should feel cozy and comfy with a roof over your head, and floor under your feet.
The feeling you should get when you enter a home should be a cozy, warm, and appreciative.
I feel that everyone’s household should be habitable, however I know not everyone’s home is a cozy home in a safe place.
Home to me is going to the wharf and watching my dad sailing in from a hard days work of crabbing,
Home is going to the old playground with the broken basketball net and squeaky swings. Home is hearing my brother laugh and seeing his gentle smile every single day.
I wish everybody could feel these beautiful feelings I feel everyday.
My Great Poppy Leonard always used to say, “Everyone should make the same amount of money, so then we would all be equal and no one would be less fortunate than another person’’
In conclusion, I feel the exact same way my pop did and wish that
Everybody had a warm home to live in and enough money to pay the rent and or electricity bill.
A house is like a shield from the outside rain, snow, hail, and wind.
Always remember,
There’s no place like HOME.
