The Meaning of Home
A home is more than just a house. The meaning of home to me is love, family, care and support.
The most important part of home to me is family and the love they give you. One house isn’t your home forever. You can move to a different house but will still be your home as long as you have your family with you. There are all types of families. In my family, my mom and dad live in separate houses so I have 2 homes to go to and 2 families.
Home is also caring, supporting one another and giving each other a helping hand. Cheering each other on or even talking to one another at home is important. Your home is where you can be yourself and no one will judge you. You can dance or sing the weirdest song ever and you will not feel embarrassed.
The meaning of home would not be complete without mentioning safety. In a home you should feel safe and happy to go there. When your not feeling well, you want to go home and rest in your own bed. You want to feel snug as a bug and cozy. When I’m sick I want to go home and go downstairs b the wood stove. I like to cuddle into a blanket and feel warm.
Home means a lot more things but these are the most important to me. I always depend on my home and family to give me a sense of belonging, caring and safety.
