When I Think of Home

When I think of home I think of food in my belly and showers I take to not be smelly.
When I think of home, I think of my bed.
A place where I can express myself and be upset.
When I think of home, I think of my wild little brother, my dad, and my mother.
When I think of home, I feel great because I always have food on my plate.
When I think of home I think of safety and a place where I can be lazy.
When I think of home I think of furry paws and scratches on my arm because of my dog’s claws.
When I think of home I think of happiness, because home is the place where I am the happiest.
I feel sad for the people who don’t have homes and don’t have families of their own.
I hope that one day we all have a place where we can stay, be loved, and get raised.
