What it Means to Have a Home
Having a home means having warmth, having comfort, and being safe. If you have a home, it means you can have somewhere to sleep, it means you can have warm food, and it means always having a place to come home to. I cannot imagine what it would be like to have to sleep on the streets, or even live in the streets, especially in this horribly cold weather! I feel so bad for those who have to, and I am glad to know that there are places like the Siloam Mission, the Salvation Army and soup kitchens, where people can come and warm up. I want to help people who need a home. Just knowing that writing this essay donates $10 to Habitat for Humanity to help build homes for people makes me so happy. To get a new home if you don’t already have one would mean the world to someone. Anyone would be so happy to get out of the snow and to finally have some warm shelter to live under. I want to help and make sure that everybody who needs a home can have a warm place to live in. Anybody can help by even just giving a $5 donation to a home building charity like the Habitat for Humanity. I hope everybody will try to help by donating today. If we all work together, we can help everyone who needs somewhere warm to live in today!
