What is Home to You?

When you stop and think you wonder what home means. You ponder that thought. Your mom says that “Home is where the heart is”. Dad boldly says that “Home is the starting point of your life.” As your grandma cooks blueberry cake she announces the thing that moves you, “Home is warmth, safety, life but most importantly,” then she pauses starts icing the cake then says “ When I say home what’s the first thing that pops to mind,” “Love” you respond without hesitation. “That’s what home is” your grandma proclaims. This makes perfect sense to you as you eat the delicious cake. Home is what you want to feel it is to you. Nobody can change that.
The love of home is one of the most loved places in the world. From a refuge bunker in Switzerland to a luxury penthouse in California. Home and house are two completely different things. Any house has a ceiling, walls and a roof. Although any home has safety, comfort, but most importantly love! Everyone lives a different life and lives in a different house. We have so many differences but we all share the same thing. Love. Love is something that lives in us by nature. Love makes us have a home not a house. And having a home is a part of something we do every day. Basically what I am trying to say is that a home is the base, love and upholder of your life and the lives of others around you. That’s what home means to me!
