What Home Means to Me
What Home Means To Me
Around 235,000 Canadians are homeless each year and that is very unfortunate. What does home mean to me? To me home means a safe and warm place to stay safe from the cold, a place to sleep and where I can spend time with family. I am so grateful for my home. I think every person should have a home to stay in and be warm.
About 35,000 Canadians are homeless every night. I am so thankful that I have a comfortable home. My home is comfortable because it is warm. another reason why it’s is comfortable is because I have good food and a roof over my head. That is one reason why home is special to me.
Another reason why home is special to me is that it is where I have the most memories with my family like at Christmas and my birthdays. So many kids who don’t have homes don’t get to have memories like that with their families because they don’t have families or a place to call home like I do. That is why I’m so lucky.
In 2018 alone, there were about 61,000 Canadian children and youth who were victims or were exposed to domestic violence. This is another reason why I’m grateful for my home. I am grateful that I have a good family and people that care about me and treat me kindly.
To me, home is special because it’s a warm safe place where I can be with my family and have a warm place to sleep and a family that cares for me and I’m thankful that I have food to eat like things to do and sports that my parents can afford to pay for. I’m so grateful for my family.
