What Home Means To Me

To me, home is extremely important and I am genuinely thankful for it.

Imagine if after a long rough day at school you come home and nobody is even there, how would that make you feel? Then try after a rough day at school coming home to your family. There’s a difference between the first and second one. The first one is a house the second is a home. A house is four walls and a roof. A home is the people you love dearly.

Home is not a place, it’s where loved ones surround you. Home could be under a bridge or in a single room just as long as there is family. No matter where you are or where you’ve been home is home. It’s like your palace, whether its a shack or a castle you feel safe and free to just be you. It doesn’t matter who you live with whether it’s your grandpa, grandma, brother, sister, mom, or dad, they appreciate you just how you are.

When I am home, I feel as safe as a king in his fortress, guarded by his army and hopefully you do too.
