What Home Means to Me

What does home mean to you?

Hi, I’m Paityn and what home means to me is a safe place, shelter and spending time with my family. But think could you imagine sleeping on dirt or rocks? And who knows, maybe not spending time with your family that brings me to my first subject, family.

My pets, I love my pets! I mean there is nothing I don’t love about them; I love to feed them and play with them. Now my family that lives with me, my brother my Mom and my Dad. I love to spend time with them, like eating supper and watching movies. But I don’t only love the family that lives with me it’s so much fun to spend the holidays with my Aunts, Uncles, cousins and grandparents and we would not have a spot to do all this if it weren’t for our houses.

In my house we are always safe because we can lock our doors and another thing is that we have our own rooms, so we don’t all need to sleep in the same room. Also like I said earlier my family makes me feel very safe and a shelter

makes me feel safe. So that brings me to my next topic, shelter.

I’m so thankful for a good shelter for my house. We have a sturdy roof and walls and when it rains, we have windows we are very lucky because some people live in box’s and just thinking about it makes me feel sad.

After saying all this I realized how lucky I am. Today I have spoken to you about my house and what it means to me like being with my family, being safe and having a good shelter. Also, could you imagine not having a safe shelter as your home so really think, what does home mean to you!
