What Home Means to Me

What Home Means to Me

I`ve been reading a book called “Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls”. It is about women around the world who have worked hard to make a difference. Mostly all of the women I read about came from a home with a loving family who helped them believe in themselves.

When I am at home, I feel loved and accepted for who I am. When I want to talk about something, my family is always there to listen. They listen to everything I have to say, no matter how long it takes. My family gives me positive feedback about what we are talking about and helps me come up with ways to solve my problems. It makes me feel so lucky to have parents to talk to at home.

When I’m at home, I feel calm and relaxed when I spend time with my family doing things like: watching movies, playing board games, and talking to my parents at bed time. These things make me feel calm and relaxed because they are peaceful instead of busy and loud. After school, I like to watch a show by myself or play with toys on my own. Those are some ways my home helps me feel calm and relaxed.

A home is much more than just a house. A house gives you shelter, but a home is like a giant box of memories. When I think of my home, I think of all the amazing people I share it with.
