Newfoundland and Labrador
what home means to me
What home means to me
To me, home is a special place that puts emotions on my face.
For all I know, I would not survive without that special place I call home.
I would be frozen in the ice of winter or be blown away by a storm in summer without a nice cozy fireplace.
I sometimes go to the woods with it’s trees, berries and other goods.
But never longer than 8 or 10 hours, then it would be time for bed. I’m glad I have a home to go back to.
Home is where I play with my dog.
Not in the forest or in a bog.
Without home, I would not be able to go to school.
Where I go to get knowledge. I would not know any math, music, gym or writing.
No matter how far you go, you always come to the conclusion that you need a home.
So hopefully after you’ve read this poem, many others can also have a loving home.
