What Home Means To Me

Home. It’s not a place, it’s a feeling. Home is a feeling of happiness and comfort. A home is not made of it’s walls or it’s roof, it is made up of the people inside. Home is a spot where you can make the most of your life and be accepted for who you truly are. Home can be your happy-place. The spot where you can do you, whatever you please. It’s the place where you played baseball and broke your mom’s favourite vase. It’s where you and your brother tackled each other over the remote and were forgiven. It’s where you and your family stayed up late and watched your favourite movies. Most of us all love our homes, it’s the best feeling in the world! A home is where you hold onto each other, where you can come together to lift each other up, never putting someone down. A home sprinkles happiness! Each home has a different feeling, a different kind of love, but most amazingly, each home tells a different story. One home can tell a story of a struggling family, another can tell of a family that always wins in life. You never know what happens in a home, sometimes things in a home just come up and surprise you. Home will make you happy, sometimes just like a sunflower making the earth clean and healthy, a new root sprouting out. When you get homesick, it’s just the feeling of home that can make you feel better. I know that HOME is different for everyone, but I am happy to be a part of making someone’s home just as special as mine.
