What Home Means to Me

Home is where I want stay
Home is where I go to pray
Home is more than walls and halls
And
A roof and a floor
It is where the heart goes and where it plans to stay
day after day

When I see people on the street with no food to eat
It feels like my heart just got ripped apart

Some carry their possession in big or small shopping carts
Some make houses made out of cardboard parts

I think everyone needs a home or a place to call their own
A place where they grow up young to old
A place that is worth more than my gold

A place with heat would be such a treat for the people on the street
It doesn’t matter if it’s big nor small as long as it catches you when you fall

That is what home means to me
