What home means to me
“Home is not a place, it is a feeling.” – Cecelia Ahern
You can go to a store and buy a house with some money, but a ‘home’ is much more than a place that you live in. A home is a place where you should feel comfortable, safe, and peaceful.
When you are in a home, you should feel comfortable and relaxed. After an exhausting day at work/school, you can come home plop on the sort sofa and let the cushions swallow you. In a home, you do things like no one is watching like stay in you pajamas all day. Not only should a home be comfortable, you should feel safe.
Home is where you should feel safe. You should feel safe enough to go get a snack in the middle of the night and not have a shiver down your spine. All of your fears are drowned by the courage and strength you get while in a home. A home is where you let all your fears wander around. You feel peaceful in a home.
A home to me is a place where you feel peaceful. Home is that sensation of peace when you sit on a comfortable chair and watch the rain cone tumbling out of the sky. Where I am warm and comforted in a storm. From all the snow and rain.
You feel safe comfortable, peaceful in a true home. In a home you feel comforted by your rooftop, where you feel safe on a rainy day. That feeling of peace when you get to relax after a tough day. What would we ever do without a home?
