What Home Means to Me

When I think of home, I think of safety, fun and family. But,some others say the opposite.
Here is my version.

Home to me is all fun, love and support.
Hockey with dad and my brother, hugs with my mom,and love from them all. This is home to me.

Board games and candy. Hockey games at night, watching our teams(we sometimes guess who will win).
This is home to me.

Bedtime at 9:30, reading in bed and knowing all the safety around me. Locked doors at night, windows shut tight. Knowing I am safe.
This is home to me.

“Wake up, it’s Saturday!”, I say to myself.Getting up knowing I’m safe in my house. I go down to watch a movie.
This is home to me.

Love and safety swirls around us all, when you know you’re safe…..

That is your home.

I hope this tiny poem helps get a young child and their family a beautiful home.
