To Have a Home is a Human Right
Home is a place where music abounds,
With laughter and joy, and happiness all around.
You sit on the couch and sigh with delight,
For when you’re at home, everything is right.
Home is a place where you feel loved,
Wrapped up in a blanket all cozy and snug.
The warmth of the covers protects you from harm.
You love your home, with all of its charm.
Home is a place of family and friends,
With a happy future just around the bend.
Home is a refuge from the outside world.
More valuable than diamonds, than riches, than pearls.
A house may keep you warm and dry,
But a home is also a state of mind.
To be homeless is a terrible plight.
To have a home is a human right.
