The Story about Home

The Story about Home

This one day changed my life forever. It was just a cloudy day, my parents were driving me home from school. But the second we turned the curb we couldn’t believe our eyes. Our house and other were swallowed up by flames and I could barely see anything out the window. I tried peering through the black smoke encasing our car but I found no luck. My panic switch had been screaming inside of me telling me to run in and grab stuff but I knew that once I stepped out of the car I would also get eaten by flames. My dad had been staring at the scorching red flames demolishing the houses until he finally drove back the way we came. All I could think about was what had just happened, I had left everything behind. I couldn’t hold back the emotions stirring in my stomach. It felt like everything had been lost, then it poured out, all of the devastating, and traumatic tears. Even my parents had joined me in crying as we all sat there huddled in a tight circle. Since that day I have lived without a home, my home had meant more than anything to me, it provided shelter, it provided food and it provide a family. My mom has passed away from the cold on the streets and it has been more than a struggle for my dad and I to find a home, and I hope that one day I will find a home.
