The Meaning of Home is Warmth

If someone says home, the first thing I think is warmth because right now it’s cold, and vise-versa. I’m lucky because I live in Canada Ontario which has nice and a rather spread out year cycle. It’s not snowing or raining every single day, or a drought continuing for a year or anything like that. I live in a place that doesn’t have extremely hot, dry weather in the summer, instead have weather that only goes up to around 30 degrees Celsius. In the winter instead of the temperatures dropping to –50 degrees Celsius and having blizzards every day I have weather that will go down to –30 degrees Celsius coldest and snows every other day.

Now imagine you not having a home living on a street with cold winds blowing at you in –50 degrees Celsius or you sitting on a street during a heat warning with a dry throat, no water and, or you starving while everyone else in their houses enjoying the air conditioning. I live in an average house. Not super big, not extremely small just an ordinary house. Same thing with our food. We don’t get sushi or go to fast food restaurants every day and I’m completely fine with that. Even so, me and my family pray every day for the things we do have and give the church $20 every week to give to the poor.

In conclusion, I think that if you are wealthy you shouldn’t be greedy and always be thankful for the things you have. If you ever get frustrated for the things you don’t have, think of the things you do have, or think of the poor. “what do I have that the poor doesn’t? Or how many things do I have that only fortunate people can afford?”
