The Meaning of Home

Home should be a place where you feel happy, safe and relaxed. Your home isn’t just a roof and walls (that’s a house). A home is where memories are made and you feel like yourself.

Homes are supposed to reflect off your personality and reputation otherwise it isn’t truly yours. One of the main things that makes à home à home is your friends and family. You should feel at home with your with your family no matter where you are. Whether you notice it or not, being with your friends and family helps you feel happy and be yourself. When I’m in my home, I feel happy, relaxed and safe.

The feeling I get when I’m in my room is one of my most favorite feelings. When I step through my door frame marked with my height throughout the years, and when I can still smell the lavender in the diffuser from the night before. And when i can see my fish and frog swimming around in the clean fish tank. I wish everybody could be able to feel that feeling but unfortunately that’s not happening.

The thought of somebody not having a home to come home to and to feel safe and warm while I sleep every day makes me feel really sad. I think the real meaning of home is where you feel safe, loved and not alone with the ones you love and the ones who love you like your family and to think that some people are living without any of those things is terrible.

Nobody deserves to have no home, so all it takes is to think about how lucky you are to have the things you have because some people would love to live like you.
