The Meaning of Home

Home is not a place,
It is not just personal space,
It is somewhere you will be fine,
Being yourself does not draw the line.
You will never be insulted for who you are,
Wherever you go,
Home will never be too far.
If you want to know, here’s the truth,
A home is a place that holds memories and happiness under just one roof.
Though hard times may pass you by,
You will be comforted, try not to cry.
Home is not just a structure built from wood,
And I want to tell you, I wish I could,
Home is not just a thing it’s a feeling.
When you look up you don’t just see the ceiling.
Home is where all your dreams will be found,
From dancing, playing sports, or trying to sing a certain sound.
I can’t imagine what it feels like for those who don’t have a home. Do they feel sad or maybe alone?
My mother, brother, father and dog,
Can make my day bright even if the sky is full of fog.
I think everyone deserves a home.
No one is perfect,
But no one deserves to sleep with no blanket, no bed, laying on the bare ground must hurt their head.
I can’t wait for tomorrow, waking up fresh and brand new,
I love my home,
What about you?
