The homeless girl

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Veronica. Veronica was homeless. She had a lovely family until one day, her mom died in a car crash. Ever since then, her life started falling apart. Her dad had re-married and his new wife didn’t accept Veronica, so they kicked her out.
Veronica had settled under a bridge. One day, Veronica was getting ready to go look for food when she ran into her friend, Spencer. The two have been best friends since school, until she had to stop going after being abandonded by her father. Veronica had told Spencer about what she’s been through. Ever since then, Spencer promised Veronica that she’d always be by her side.
Over time, Veronica and Spencer had grown closer. One day; however, Spencer didn’t show to one of their meet ups. A group of troubled kids decided to take Veronica’s belongings and took off. Veronica was hoping that Spencer would show up soon, but she was nowhere to be found.
After that, Veronica was on the run, searching for a place to live. A cruel snow storm took place and Veronica didn’t have appropriate clothing for such weather. Unable to tolerate the cold weather, Veronica passed out.
A social worker had found Veronica and decided to put her in an orphanage. The next day, Veronica woke up surrounded by two girls who welcomed her. One of the caretakers at the orphanage explained to Veronica how she ended up at the orphanage. Since Veronica didn’t have a house, she decided to stay at the orphanage.
Veronica was lucky enough to make friends at the orphanage. Together, they continued to welcome new people with open arms, just like how they welcomed her. Regardless of the obstacles Veronica encountered, the orphanage became Veronica’s HOME.
