The Feeling Of Home

A home is a place where you feel safe, comfortable, loved and happy. A home doesn’t have to be a place where you live. It could be your school, a soccer field, or the middle of nowhere. Home is where your friends and family are. Home is where the heart is.
Some people don’t have a home where they feel safe. I feel safe when I know my family and friends are there to help me and make me feel better.
My home is special because it is heated and insulated. Most people think having a house that is heated or insulated isn’t a big deal, but there is a lot of people that don’t have insulation and freeze because of it. Home is where you make new memories.
Some people’s homes are small buildings that aren’t heated, insulated or safe because that’s all they can afford. They have a home, but not a very safe or comfortable home. But at least they have a home in the first place. Some people give up there homes and use that money to buy the necessities such as food, water, etc. Its hard to believe that 1 in 7 Canadians don’t have a place to call home. When I think of these people I feel sad and want to help.
A house can be sold but a home can’t be sold.
