Grade 6

Richmond Hill

Home is my sanctuary. Home is a place where peace resides, a place of happiness, and love. Home is a space to live in, a space to lie. It is a place to lay down and cry. Home is not a roof and walls, but a place to feel safe and loved. Many happy memories inhabit one’s home, some bad ones too, but always one’s sanctuary, no matter who it may be. It is a place to settle in, a place to feel bliss, but to see the poor without a home, without a place to feel secure, it breaks my heart, makes it feel impure. To know someone is suffering watching from their slums. Watching us sleep in comfy beds and throw amazing fun parties… I wish to change this way of living! No matter how die hard, for getting a home shouldn’t be that hard!
