No Need to Rearrange

A home is the place you feel welcome all year ‘round
Even when you’re lost, you can feel found

In the summers, I enjoy splashing in my friends’ swimming pool
Under the heat of the sun, it’s truly pretty cool
The splish splash and the water calls me
Yet, home still is the place I’d rather be

The days continue on, ‘till I’m back in school
Different from my friends’ pool
The crunching of the leaves as I happily walk to class, tickles my heart
But, the place I love best was with me right from the start

Finally winter, I know I’ll have a blast
Sadly though, the snow does not last
The place for me once my toes start to feel numb
Is where I’m fixed a nice warm hot chocolate, yum!

Next comes spring, new life too
I love the music of the birds who chirp and coo
Letting out a soft buzz of warmth, the sun gives a nice and welcoming smile
Though, I’m called back to the beaming rays of my family, after awhile

The seasons may change
But, at home there’s no need to rearrange
Homes can be at a park, a structure, even a large stone
As long as, it’s the place where you don’t feel alone

A home is the place you feel welcome all year ‘round
Even when you’re lost, you can feel found

Allowing this warm fuzzy feeling to roam, I’m so glad my writing can help others get a home.
