My Home

My Home

When I am at home I smell the fresh food that my mom makes. I feel the warmth touching my fingers as I come inside from the cold. I can hear the distant chatter from downstairs. I taste the food my mom cooks everyday.
I see my cat run away when I come home everyday. That’s what home means to me.

Did you know that 1 out of 8 Canadian households do not have a safe,
decent, affordable place to live? 17.8 percent of renters pay
more than half of their income on shelter because of the high cost
of housing. Many hard working families need to choose between
paying for rent or other necessities such as food child care or heating
Home is not about a big house or a lot of money, it is about
love, memories and families .

Home is a place of warmth and laughter, a place of love and kindness.
It is a place where I go everyday to rest, feel safe and have a warm place to rest. It is a roof above me and family around me.
