My Home

My home is where my animals roam
Where my siblings try to kill each other
Where me and my sister bicker and then I try to kick her
I still love her though

My home is where I’m welcomed because my sister always leaves the door open
My home is where I’m warm
My home is where old friends reunite and new ones come along because of all the dinners we host

When i go to bed I think it’s just a house
A house is not a home if you’re by yourself
It’s the people in the home even just a bird that makes it more than a house.
The Grinch wasn’t happy without friends to share his Christmas dinners with, or until he had somebody to sing with.

A house and a home are two different things,
Anyone could have a house,
That’s why I’m so thankful to have a home,
I think anyone would be!
