Meaning of Home

When I come home from school,
I flop on my bed and start to muse,
Of what I’m happy to have, not lose.

I/m grateful for my home,
For all the things I love and own,
At the end of Snowmageddon,
I thought of people who had no home,
In that storm,
They must’ve been cold!

Every time I go downtown,
I see people roaming around,
With signs of pleads and help,
I wish every time i saw them there,
I had a dollar left to spare.

My family is kind and joyous,
So every single day,
I think of what i’m grateful for,
And keep the greed away.

I’m grateful for friends and family,
For warmth, love, and food.
Every time i come home from school,
Well, I said that at the beginning.

I just hope from all the entries,
Someone gets a home.
Where all your hopes and dreams come true,
Even if it’s just a home.
