Meaning of Home

Home. Your first thought on a home might be a physical structure with all your household necessities, but there is a deeper understanding of the meaning of home.
A home doesn’t have to be your normal house you retreat to after a long day. It doesn’t even have to be a house at all, it could be outdoors, a treehouse, or even across the globe! There are many meanings of home, but a very important one is safety. You should feel secured and satisfied, you probably want a place where you don’t have to worry about being abused or being treated disrespectfully. You may feel loved in your home with the people you care about and your pets that you adore. If you put all that meaning into a regular place, that regular place may become your loving and caring home.
The sad part is that not everyone has a place they can call home. Lots of people that are homeless can’t enjoy the experience of having a safe, loving, comfortable home.
I have clarified what a home is to me, but not to you. Home comes in many shapes and sizes, but one thing is for sure, you will always decipher what a home is to YOU.
