How I feel at Home in the Morning

How I feel at Home in the Morning

Home is where you eat, sleep, laugh, play and most of all, love. It’s a place of peace, safety and joy. To me it’s like a vacation to Mexico scrunched up in a home.

I love my daily routine with my family and I hope it will stay that way. It starts off on a regular weekend. The sun is shining on my face in my warm bed. I yawn so hard, my eyelids get so heavy they slowly drop down.

I’m still in my pyjamas, I walk downstairs and walk straight to the fireplace.
I go on my hands and knees and put my hands close to the fire and listen to the sounds of the dancing, crackling fire that’s been calling me in the morning.

This is my favourite part of the day. When all downstairs is all mine.

When my whole family is down, we can eat. Everyone goes to different places in the kitchen, I go to the freezer, my mom goes to the stove and my brother and my dad go to the pantry.

I take out my breakfast, put it in the toaster, put out the toppings, then when I hear the big BING! Of the toaster,I burst into delight!

I spread on the toppings and put it in my mouth hearing the crunch of the crust, eating bit by bit. Then I run upstairs to brush my teeth. I get to the bathroom with my toothbrush and toothpaste.
I love watching the toothpaste slowly coming out of its tube.

Then, I go in my bedroom and put my nose in a book.

Then I start to think of the people that don’t have a home a school or friends.
