House to a Home

To me a home is not just wood and brick. To me a home is more than that. There are so many things a home can be: family, love, somewhere where you’re cared about, somewhere where you feel safe. A home is a place where you have memories. A place you want to be. A home is like a warm hug.
A house is a place where you go to eat, sleep, drink. A house is shelter from the rain, snow, cold. But you need more than that in life, someone who can comfort you and make you feel important. Other than keeping you warm at night, a house doesn’t exactly make you happy, but a home does. Some people who live outside in the cold are still happy and grateful for what they have because they have a home.
When you finish work or school, and you just want to be home, you don’t say, “I just want to be house”. When you think about it, a home is what you really need.
There are some kids who don’t have a home. Their parents sometimes beat them or starve them. They don’t have someone to love them, hug them when they’re sad or be there when need help. They don’t feel safe because everywhere they go they feel their in danger. And sometimes all that makes them mad, and they take it out on other people. They bully kids. That is why you need a home.
As I said, there is a difference between a house and a home. There are some people who don’t have either. It makes me sad to think that I have so many things and they have nothing. Everyone deserves a family, love, a place where they feel safe. Everyone deserves a home.
