Homeless -> Home

Homeless -> Home

When you go from homeless to home that is a moment to cry with joy. It is a moment to be happy and jump up and down with laughter, happiness and great cheer. This is a time you can show your emotions and be grateful.
When you go from shelter to shelter, street to street, car to car asking for money and food to live a normal life it can be tiring. It can be so easy to just give up. Everyone deserves a chance.
When you are given a home after years on the street it is a life changing experience. It would be unbelievable it would be shocking, but most of all it would be such an act of kindness. It would be a lifetime of appreciating what had done for you. If you are homeless and you have children you would want the best life for them. We know that parents will give anything up for their children no matter what. Can you imagine being chosen to receive a new home?
Families are everything. Parents will do everything to protect their children on dark and difficult days. They are your shoulder to cry. Families stick together when they are cold and hurting. When things are tough, they are always there for you. Without a home these issues are even more difficult for parents. Trying to find a home and afford a home is so much more complicated. When going from not having a home to having a home it is life changing. The moment of receiving a home is a gift to be cherished forever.
Habitat for Humanity helps to protect the citizens of our earth. Poverty is a tragedy suffered by many. Homelessness means families are struggling. Everyone should take the time to help people in need no matter what the reason is for their being without a home. Moving from homelessness to owning a home is a community effort. Hands helping and hearts giving.
