Home is Not a Place, It’s a Feeling

Home is a place where you can be loved by your family,
A place where you feel safe when your parents are with you,
A time on Christmas day when you’re opening your presents and feeling joyful.
“Home is not a place, It’s a feeling”

When you’re having a birthday party at your house and you get so many presents and you are so stunned,
A place where you are so afraid after a big storm with thunder and lightning,
A place where you’re furious after a bad test and can go to your family,
“Home is not a place, It’s a feeling”

If my house burned down and I was still with my family it would still feel like home,
When I’m not with my family it doesn’t feel like home,
If I did not have a house or a family I would be broken to pieces,
“ Home is not a place, It’s a feeling”

When I’m at home I can smell things like food cooking,
A smell laundry detergent
I smell a lot of homemade cookies that are in the oven
“ Home is not a place, It’s a feeling”
