Home isn’t just a big brown house
It’s a safe place for when I need it the most
It’s a safe place to cry
A place I’ll love until I die
It’s a place for sleepovers
A place for napping when the party’s over
It’s a place where the music plays
A place I’ll stay all day
Homes where I play with my dogs
In the yard rain,shine,or fog
I’ll have supper and fill my cup
Plus, some things in life are not worth giving up
As I lie in bed thinking about what my teacher said “be grateful for what you have”
The dying plant in the kitchen shows time does pass
Not with my family because these precious memories will last
