What is home?
Home is a wonderful place where you can feel safe, and loved. It is a place where you can make memories, and remember them as you grow.
It is a place where you can clear your mind. A place to go when you feel lost, or alone. A house is not a home. A house is just a room with a door and a roof. But home, home is where you can wake up in the morning to the delightful smell of your mom cooking bacon and eggs.
A home is where you can be loved when nobody else loves you. A home is still just a room with a door and a roof, but only the people inside have the power to make it a home.
People do not realize how lucky they are to have a home. How lucky they are to have a voice, and be heard. How lucky they are to not just be walked over like an object, or how lucky they are to be fortunate enough to own a home with furniture, food, and love, but here we are, and there they are.
I just want to give somebody the opportunity to have a home because ninety-nine times out of one-hundred they won’t get one.
Give them a turn to make memories and fill that house with love and make it a home. Give them a turn to wake up to the delightful smell of their mothers cooking bacon and eggs. Give them a turn to feel loved when they feel all hope is lost. Just give them a HOME.
This is what home means to me.
