Home to me isn’t where you live,
It is a place for us to learn, share, and give.
It is a place we take for granted,
Like a seed in a garden that we have planted.
It is a place for us to bloom and grow,
It is a place to stay warm from the snow.
The families on the streets,
Need a place for them to keep.
It is freezing when winter is at its height,
And everyone deserves a place to stay warm at night.
We are all human in the end
And we should expand that knowledge to a friend.
For home is not just the place we live,
It is a place we learn to forgive.
Accepting people we’ve gone so far,
A place we do not judge you for you they are.
No matter your race, religion, or gender
A home is something you should never have to surrender.
