My house is surrounded with people who care.
It makes me feel safe, never scared.
To talk about my family, alone.
It makes me think of nothing but HOME.
My relatives sailed the great sea
To make a better life for my sister and me.
Settled where Orcas swim and eagles flown.
The moment they landed, they called it HOME.
Not even all the Humpback whales of BC Coast
Migrate from where they love the most.
In all of the forest, where wolves roam.
They don’t rest until they have found their HOME.
This house, in this city, is so special to me.
It is where we connect as a family.
Built from love, kindness, sticks and stones.
It is a place I will always call HOME!
