Grade 6

A place where strangers can feel secure,
A place where joy is always pure,
A place where empathy is always shone,
A place I call home.

A place blessed by the Holy One,
A place indoors to chase the sun,
A place where you’ll always have fun,
A place I call home.

To me, a home is a priceless place,
A home is somewhere you won’t replace,
A place to laugh, scream or embrace,
A place I call home.

Someday, I’ll become an adult,
And fear will drive me around.
I’ll be swimming around in melancholy.
And then I’ll remember the joy and smiles,
And in that I’ll know,

I will always come back home
